Miss Eva Ross, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Ross of Seventh street and Sommers Holcomb, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Holcomb of 499 Base Line, were married last night at the home of the bridegroom’s parents in the presence of a large number of relatives and close friends.
The ceremony was performed by Rev. James Robertson, uncle of the groom, of Downey. Miss Mabel Holcomb and Howard Holcomb, sister and brother of the bridegroom, played the piano and violin during the service.
After the ceremony congratulations were in order, then followed a buffet luncheon. The young couple will reside on the Holcomb ranch in Base Line, having full charge of the pioneer ranch.

Oct. 20, 1895 in San Bernardino, CA., was living in Fullerton, CA. and working as a laborer in an oil field for the Petroleum Development Co. in Olinda, Orange, CA. Eva R. Holcomb yesterday filed a petition to secure custody of her four-year-old daughter, Bernice Holcomb and Sommers C. Holcomb was cited to appear in court on October 3 at 2 p.m. ri show cause why he should not pay $30 a month to the support of the child. Mrs. Holcomb charges that under threats of her husband to take the child away from her she signed an agreement that he need not contribute to the child’s support. She asks that this agreement be set aside.

The day before Mrs. Holcomb filed suit seeking an order for the custody of the child and $30 a month for her support. Holcomb yesterday set up in his complaint the statement an agreement of separation had been signed by his wife in which it was stipulated he would pay for the support of the child when he had her in his charge. Benefit Dinner Held By Pioneer Society
As part of a campaign to raise funds for a pioneer museum, the san Bernardino Pioneer Society held a roast beef dinner Saturday at the Log Cabin in Pioneer Park.
Chairmen of the dinner were Roy V. Kibbee and Ernest Rebecchini. The next benefit dinner will be Feb. 22, Kibbee announced.
Guest speaker was Sommers Holcomb, grandson of pioneer William F. Holcomb.

Sommers C. Holcomb, 75, of Trinidad, (Humboldt), died Saturday in a Eureka hospital. Born in San Bernardino, he had been a resident of San Bernardino County many years, having lived in Trinidad for the past four years. He was a member of the Holcomb pioneer family.
Survivors include his wife, Helen, three daughters, Mrs. Berniece Loggins of Little Rock, Calif., Mrs. Betsy Bell and Mrs. Joanne Lindy, both of Highland; a sister, Avis Graham of Utah, and a brother, Howard Holcomb of San Bernardino.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Paul Mortuary Chapel, McKinleyville, Calif. with cremation and inurnment to follow.

Benefit Dinner Held By Pioneer Society
As part of a campaign to raise funds for a pioneer museum, the san Bernardino Pioneer Society held a roast beef dinner Saturday at the Log Cabin in Pioneer Park.
Chairmen of the dinner were Roy V. Kibbee and Ernest Rebecchini. The next benefit dinner will be Feb. 22, Kibbee announced.
Guest speaker was Sommers Holcomb, grandson of pioneer William F. Holcomb.

Sommers C. Holcomb, Trinidad
Sommers C. Holcomb, 75, of Trinidad, (Humboldt), died Saturday in a Eureka hospital. Born in San Bernardino, he had been a resident of San Bernardino County many years, having lived in Trinidad for the past four years. He was a member of the Holcomb pioneer family.
Survivors include his wife, Helen, three daughters, Mrs. Berniece Loggins of Little Rock, Calif., Mrs. Betsy Bell and Mrs. Joanne Lindy, both of Highland; a sister, Avis Graham of Utah, and a brother, Howard Holcomb of San Bernardino.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Paul Mortuary Chapel, McKinleyville, Calif. with cremation and inurnment to follow.
