On Oct. 29, 1949, in Lake Geneva, WI, she was united in marriage to Gerald "Jerry" E. Byrnes. Jerry died Dec. 21, 2011. Marion worked for several years as a bank teller in East Troy, and, later, retired from working at the bank in Mukwonago, WI. She and Jerry owned and operated the Saturday Nite Ballroom in East Troy from 1960 until 1976. She also helped Jerry run the farm until they sold it in 1988. She was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church of East Troy, and a member of the Hill-N-Dale Homemakers Club. Marion was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years, Jerry; and one brother, Robert Berndt.
