JOE BOB ANDERSON, 62, of Memphis, retired division electrical foreman for Illinois Central Railroad after 40 years, died Friday at Methodist Hospital after a short illness. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery East.

He was a member of Goodman Oaks Church of Christ. Mr. Anderson, the husband of Mabel Shrum Anderson for 42 years, also leaves a daughter, Faun Anderson Long, and a son, Don Anderson, both of Memphis; two brothers, William E. Anderson of Bamburg, S.C., and James D. Anderson of Corinth, Miss., and five grandchildren.

The family requests that any memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Goodman Oaks Church of Christ. (Published in The Commercial Appeal on Dec. 27, 1992)
