SAMUEL E. DAUGHTERTY, a lifelong resident of the Rohrersville district, died at 6:30 o'clock this morning at the home of his son, Aaron, Chestnut Grove, after an illness of two weeks of complications, aged 84.
He was a member of the Church of God.
The following survive: Children, Mrs. Harvey W. Houser, Locust Grove; Mrs. John Holmes, Samples Manor; Walter W., Harper's Ferry; Daniel L. and Aaron, Chestnut Grove; 21 grandchildren; brother, Frank, Downsville.
Funeral Sunday afternoon leaving the house at 1:30 o'clock, services in the Samples Manor church. Interment in cemetery adjoining.
