Mrs. Chilcott was born Oct. 17, 1918, in Wardensville, W.Va., the daughter of Alvin and Ethel Michael Dellinger. She was a member of Woodbine Assembly of God.
She married Granville F. Chilcott on Jan. 14, 1941, in Cumberland, Md. Mr. Chilcott died Nov. 5, 1993.
Surviving are a son, Granville Franklin Chilcott Jr. of Winchester; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
A son, Robert Alvin Chilcott; a sister, Alma DeHaven; and a brother, Paul Dellinger, are deceased.
A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, Winchester, with the Rev. David Palmer officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Frederick County.
Pallbearers will be Russell McKay, Rick Pitts, Max Mobley, Roger Riggleman, David Funk, Carl Funk, and Jason Scott.
Aunt Mabel was one of my favorite aunts. She use to tell me about when she was younger, when her best friend was the infamous, PATSY CLINE. I always thought that was SO cool! She will be missed greatly.
