Jennet was married to William K. Stewart. She and William had 4 known children; Samuel, Frances, Elizabeth, and Robert.

The family lived in the Rock Hill area of York County until Jennet's death in 1805. Shortly after her death a large number of families moved out of the York area.

The Stewart Brothers divided and went separate ways. One group went to Georgia settling in the Morgan County area and later in Cherokee County, Alabama, while another group went to Ohio.

Motive for the family's move was division amount the Presbyterians of York and Lancaster districts, S. C. on the question of slavery.
