Alleene Meade Brooks. age 76, of Bristol, VA passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2013 at Wellmont Hospice House.
She was born May 4, 1936 to the late Emmett Meade and Lou Virgie Porter.
She had lived in Bristol most of her life and was a school bus driver for both Bristol, TN and Bristol, VA school system.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Brooks, and by three brothers, Walter Jackson Meade, Robert Lee Meade, and Charlie Junior Meade.

Daughter: Linda Brooks Staubus
Grandchildren: Amanda Staubus, Kim Houser and husband Chris, Bridget Doyle
Great-Grandchildren: Savannah Houser, Chandler Houser, Skyler Doyle
Sisters: Gay Hartsock and husband Doug, Shirley Bates, Lou Vita Jessie, Gladys Harvey
Brother: Nathan Meade
Several nieces, nephews, and cousins
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 from the Mountain View Mausoleum with Rev. Orby Porter officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mountain View Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 11-12 prior to the funeral service. The family would like to say a special thanks to Wellmont Hospice House.
