The former Helen Nowacki was born in Lexington, KY and was a receptionist for Dr. James Linville. She belonged to Buechel United Methodist Church, and the Women's Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Lewis C. "Doc" Adams.
Helen is survived by her son, Stan Adams (Sharron); grandchildren, Todd Adams and Michelle Peterworth (John); four great-granddaughters, Kayle, Hailey, Sadie and Lou; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to her niece Carol, who has been like a daughter to her over the years.
Her funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, with entombment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-9 p.m. Monday at Highlands.
