On Monday afternoon Nov. 1 at the home of her son. Rev. A. A. Lawrence, in Altmar, N.Y., occurred the death of Mrs. Elizabeth Lawrence, aged 79 years. The early part of her life was spent in Worcester, Mass. In 1863 she was married to James Lawrence, of West Bangor, where the remainder of her life was spent. She was a member of the Methodist church here and she has remained loyal to her Christ and her church. Her Christian character won for her many friends. She leaves to mourn her loss one son, Rev. A. A. Lawrence, of Altmar, who has the sympathy of many friends. The funeral was held Friday Nov. 5. from the Union church of this place, Rev. Scott officiating. Interment was in West Bangor cemetery.
