Mrs. Thomas W. Kelly
Lida Carson Kelly, 72, died at her home, 234 West street, Thurday afternoon, December 30, 1937, at 1 o'clock. She had been in ill health for several months, heart failure being the cvause of her death. She was the wife of Thomas W. Kelly, former postmaster, who died in 1935.
Mr. and Mrs. Kelly, with their family, moved from Albany, Mo., to Stillwater in 1899. She became a member of the Christian church in her early youth, and took an active part in the Women's Missionary society. She was also active in the Stillwater Woman's club, being a charter member of that organization.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. C.L. Clark, of Oklahoma City; two sons, Shannon and Carson; three grandsons, William B. Keudell, Oklahoma City; Jack and George Kelly of Stillwater, and one nephew, Russell C. Long, of Stillwater.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the First Christian church. Interment was in Fairlawn cemetery. Strode Funeral Home was in charge.
