He was born December 28, 1916 in San Luis Obispo, California the son of Arthur and Ira Flo Shelton Ball.
Wesley married Emma Cardoza on December 19, 1942 in Santa Cruz, California. She preceded him in death on June 29, 1946. He married Selma Wanda J. Elmer on August 6, 1982. She preceded him in death April 1990.
He served in the Army during World War II and was active in D-Day, receiving a Bronze Star. Wesley was a great marksman.
He had resided in San Louis Obispo, Santa Cruz and Layton during his life.
He retired from Granite Construction as a heavy equipment mechanic.
Wesley was an active member of the LDS Church.
He loved sports and fishing.
Surviving are two step-sons, Larry (Gloria) Elmer, Clearfield; Ted (Pam) Elmer, Pleasant Grove; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents; twin brother, Lesley; and brothers, Herman, Clyde and Chester.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 10, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist's Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road where military honors will be accorded.
