DOROTHY MAXINE MENEAR, age 90 of Tabor, IA, died Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at her home following a brief illness. Dorothy was born September 9, 1922 near Tunnelton, West Virginia to Mont Copenhaver and Martha Jane (Moran) Copenhaver. On January 30, 1942, she was married to Emanuel A. Dufrasne. Dorothy worked for many years as a Nurse's Aide in West Virginia and, after moving to Tabor, was a Foster Grandparent at the Glenwood Resource Center. She attended the Tabor Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed crocheting. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Emanuel Dufrasne; son, Arthur Francis Dufrasne; 2 sisters, Irene Copenhaver and Wanetta Kellar; and 4 brothers, Phillip, Joseph, Harry and Acie Copenhaver. She is survived by her daughter, Marie Christensen of Tabor, IA; 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; step children, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews including special nephews James Copenhaver of Coraopolis, PA and Rick Copenhaver of Jacksonville, FL; other relatives and friends.

Grandma was the daughter of the late Mont Copenhaver and Martha Jane Moran. And the 1st wife of the late Sam Dufrasne and the 2nd wife of the late Clarence Menear proceed her in death grandchildren Shelly and Angie Abbott and the mother to Marie Christensen and the late Arthur (Frog) Dufrasne and step mother to Raymond and Richard Menear, Esther Luzader and the late JoAnn Hobbs, Deloris Seebaugh, Linda Blackwell, David Menear. Grandma to Scott Abbott and Angie Belt, Judy Cooper, Tina Pack, Larry and Omer, Clarence Miller and Edward Menear and the late Carl G and Michael Menear and Cathy Williams, Brenda Menear, Richard Jr, Holly and Trinity Luzader and was a Great Grandma. But a very special Gee-Gee to Andrew, Vanessa, Ethan, Peytan Cailin Belt and Alize and Nevaeh, Jordan, Amanda and (baby) Ashlynn Cooper who is special gift from GOD !!!! DOROTHY MAXINE MENEAR
