Yvonne C. Wollersheim, age 86, of 3100 Peto St., Manitowoc, formerly of 829 S. 25th st., Manitowoc, died Sunday afternoon, September 21, 1997, at home.
Funeral Services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 24, 1997, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Concelebrating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Carl Meulemans and Msgr. Donald Rose, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born November 22, 1910, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Meinard and Bertha Koch Mauthe. Yvonne was a graduate of Lincoln High School class of 1929. She then attended Layton Art College of Milwaukee where she majored in Portraiture and Photography. She then studied from Louise Mutzbauer of Mutzbauer Studios. On November 21, 1934, she married Arnold M. Wollersheim at. St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The couple resided in Kiel until 1942, when they moved back to Manitowoc. He preceded her in death April 24, 1989. Yvonne was self-employed in retouching, etching and coloring for many years. She was also employed as Craft and Activity Director at Shady Lane Nursing Care center of Manitowoc. She was very active in many church, civic and social affairs.
Survivors include three sons, Leon Wollersheim, Donald (Judy) Wollersheim, David Wollersheim, all of Manitowoc; two daughters, Lynette Herold, Indianapolis, Ind., Grace (David) Colette Coats, Indianapolis, Ind.; one sister, Hattie Fischer, Manitowoc. Also surviving are six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a special friend, Barbara Henry. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Bertha Notz, Margaret Porath, Gertrude Koehler, Sally Ettzlaff; and a brother, Reuben Mauthe
Friends may call at St. Boniface Catholic Church from 4 p.m. Wednesday until the time of service at 7 p.m.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
Yvonne will be missed by many relatives and close friends.
