Lawrence Ball
Lawrence Arvid Ball, oldest child of Ralph E. and Hannah Gauby Ball, was born May 30, 1918, near Belleville, and died at his home in Belleville on April 22, 1986, at the age of 67 years, ten months and one day.
He lived his entire life in Kansas except for four years of his childhood spent in Clinton, Mo. He lived on the farm until 1964, and lived in Anderson County for 20 years before moving to Belleville.
He was a member of the Belleville Church of the Brethren and attended the Mount Ida Church for 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Elvin William Ball.
He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Francis (Laveda) Cornett of Belleville; one brother, Merril Allen Ball of Welda, Kans.; eight nephews and nieces; Mrs. Kenneth (Jo Hannah) Lankard of Garnett, Kans.; Jack Elvin Ball of Welda, Mrs. William (Gwen) Stalcup of Kansas City, Kans.; Mrs. Neal (Lela) Beam of McPherson; Robert Ball, Lisa Ball, Welda, Kans.; Terry Cornett, Rodney Cornett; five grand-nephews and nieces.
Graveside services were held at the Belleville Cemetery on April 24, conducted by Rev. James Graves. Interment was in Belleville Cemetery.
