Mrs. SAdie Barnes, 78, died at 11:45 a.m. Saturday at the Frame Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Barnes has resided at the home since 1954.
She was born in Batesville, Noble County, on April 27, 1881, the dauthter of Elijah and Jane Shepherd Betts. She was a member of Central Trinity Methodist Church and has resided in Zanesville for 18 years.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Fred Longstreth of 816 1/2 South street; two sons, Forest Barnes of Norwich and Elijah of South Zanesville; a sister, Mrs. Preston Cline of Lore City Route 1; and a brother, David Betts of Batesville; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
The body was removed to the DeLong-Baker Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 p.m. tonight.
