Mr. D. J. "Conn" O'Shea, Grosvenor Road, Rathgar, Dublin, who has died aged 70, was father of Mr. Milo O'Shea, the actor.
The late Mr. O'Shea was a former Captain in the Irish Army, from which he resigned to join the Board of Works. He retired about five years ago.
He was a past member of the Rathmines and Rathgar Musical Society and broadcast as a singer from 2RN, the original Irish radio station. He played Rugby for Leinster in 1916.
He is also survived by his wife Eleanor; son, Donal, and daughter, Maev.
