Florence was the daughter of McDowell C (Mac) and Eliza Rachel Ball Warden. She married her second cousin through their Warden lineage, Ashley (Ash) Bailey on the 23rd day of September 1912 in Williamson, Mingo County, West Virginia, and apparently divorced by 1925. On the 18th day of March 1925 in Sylvia, Raleigh County, West Virginia, Florence married Alonzo B (Doc) Shrewsbury.
