Ocia William Bass, 76, of 102 S.W. Ben Jordan St., died at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in a local hospital following a short illness.
A resident of Victoria for 32 years. Mr. Bass was born Aug. 21, 1908, in Coryell County, to the late Jim and Caldonia Kinsey Bass. He was a former resident of Wharton County and was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. O. U. Slaton officiating. Burial will be in Crescent Valley Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Vera M. Bass of Victoria; two daughters, Mrs. Johnny Koliba of Bloomington and Mrs. Bill Clark of Houston; a son, Jimmy I. Bass of Schroeder; two sisters, Mrs. Katie Guess and Mrs. Ina Carll of Dallas; a half- brother, Sherman Stone of Houston; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
