She was born March 6, 1910 in Calhoun County, WV a daughter of the late Charles Anderson and Josie Lynch Anderson.
Mrs. Barr was a homemaker and a member of the Hundred Church of Christ.
Surviving are one son, Donald Barr of Hundred; six grandchildren and spouses, Donna Jean and Nick Costello of Farmington, Tracy Ann Barr of Bessemer City, NC, Terry Lynn Barr of Fairmont, Treva and Robert Gales of Fairmont, Charles E. and Sylvia Barr of Fairmont, and Donald R. Barr of Baltimore, MD; eleven great-grandchildren, Devin, Landon, Amber, Erica, Ernest, Michaela, Ronnie, Madison, Kenli, Johnny and Nickki; one sister, Mary Jackson of Wellsburg, WV; and her former daughter-in-law, Madeline Barr Bartus of Fairmont.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ellery Ted Barr who died on September 10, 1976; one son, Charles E. Barr; two brothers, Bruce Anderson and Pat Anderson; four sisters, Goldie Anderson, Laura Menear, Ola Yoho, and Pearl Crane; and an infant great-granddaughter, Chasity Costello.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Sunday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Monday with the Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in the Harmony Cemetery at Burton.
