Mary E. (Marson) Abbott, 93, of Wiscasset, died on Dec. 28, 2016 at LincolnHealth – Miles Campus. She was the wife of the late Willard A. Abbott.

Mary was born in Mystic, Conn. on Feb. 15, 1923 and was daughter of the late Charles and Clara (Larrabee) Marson. She attended and graduated from Boothbay Harbor Schools.

She was a woman who enjoyed staying home and taking care of her husband and children. She loved spending time with her husband in their greenhouses and tending to the flower and vegetable gardens in the yard. Mary loved farm animals also.

She was also predeceased by her son, Charles Abbott; and siblings, Charles and Dorothy Marson.

She is survived by her son, David Abbott and wife Linda of Alna; daughter-in-law, Jennie Abbott of Wiscasset; grandsons, Michael Abbott and wife Kathy of Durham, Bill Abbott of Jefferson, Jason Abbott and wife Alexa of Westport, and Abden Simmons and wife April of Waldoboro; granddaughters, Shawna and companion Tim, and Laura McFarland of Farmington; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services for Mary were privately held.
