Born in Taylor, he was a son of John and Mary (Smallecombe) Wylam, of Taylor. He was a 1971 graduate of Old Forge High School and was a chef for the former Aldino's Restaurant, Taylor, and for the former Castle Restaurant, Scranton. He served in the U.S. Air Force, where he also served as a chef and was a member of St. Ann's Basilica, St. Ann's St., West Scranton.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his former wife, the former Barbara Torba, Scranton; daughters Adele, Philadelphia; and Julianne, Shippensburg; brothers, John, Bellevue, Neb; Henry, Westchester, Va; Paul, South Plainfield, N. J.; and James, Old Forge, sisters, Kathy Davis. Franklin Township, N.J.; and Maryann Gavin, West Pittston; and several nieces, nephews. cousins, aunts and uncles.
