Surviving is his wife; three sons, Richard C Adams of Appomattox VA, Steven D Adams of Galesburg, Michael T Adams of Spring Valley; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; three brothers, Robert of Drakes Branch VA, Paul of Prarie City and Reid of Orlando FL; and three sisters, Hazel Abbitt of Richmond VA, Pansy Sloan of Avon and Dorothy (last name illegible) of Keysville VA.
Mr. Adams worked for Galesburg Construction for 25 years. He worked for Gunther Construction before retiring. He was a member of Local 538 Laborers Union.
A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. the following Tuesday in Memorial Park Cemetery. There was no visitation.
