Sidney Neslen Dies At 72. Sidney Alfred Neslen, 72, 998-15th East, former Garfield Chemical Co. superintendent, died Sunday at 11:50 a.m. in a Salt Lake hospital of natural causes.
Mr. Neslen was with the chemical company until retiring in 1958. He joined the L. H. Butcher Co. as a engineer.
Born in Salt Lake City June 9, 1893, he was the son of Alfred C and Amanda Johnson Neslen. He married Nancy Duncombe in Salt Lake City.
Mr. Neslen graduated from the University of Utah in 1917 in engineering.
A member of the Eagles, Kaibab Lodge No. 25, toe Oakridge Country Club, Utah State Firemen's Association and the American Institute of Chemical Engineering, Mr. Neslen also was past president of the Salt Lake Bowling Association.
Surviving are his widow; sons, a daughter, Col. Alfred Jack, U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C.; Dr. Earl D., Washington, D.C.; Sidney G., Mrs. Ralph A (Gene) Rogers, both Salt Lake City; 14 grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Lucille Henry, California.
Services will be Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. in the Masonic Temple, 650 E. South Temple. Friends may call at 574 E. 1st South Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday before services. Burial will be in Salt Lake Cemetery.
