Dorothy Fay Yunker, 81, beloved wife of Larry Yunker of 41 years and loving mother and granny, entered into rest on Friday, Sept. 30, 2011. Dorothy, daughter of the late Gladys and Benjamin Wylie McManus was born in Augusta, Ga., and worked for United Airlines in Elk Grove Village, Ill., as a computer console operator until she retired. Dorothy enjoyed organizing family holiday parties, visiting Hawaii, sewing and crafting. She made many outfits for the family, including matching robes for everyone on Christmas. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Fay Anna (Ciccione) Markson; a grandson, Andy Staufenbiel; her parents, Gladys and Benjamin Wylie McManus; brother, Benjamin McManus Jr.; and sister-in-law, Mary Earl McManus. Dorothy is survived by her two daughters, Deborah (Ciccione) Staufenbiel and Bridget Lynn Yunker; a son, Paul Jay Ciccione and his wife Gail Ciccione; grandchildren, Laurie (David) Moore and Peter Markson-Ciccione, Shannon (Andy) Staufenbiel; great-grandchildren, Erin, Amy, Michael and Isabella; and her beloved. grand-dog, Captain. A chapel service and interment will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 10, at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 2501 E. Euclid Ave., Arlington Heights, IL 60004-5898.
