Jason David Bernard Christensen passed away on February 25, 2011 in Stockton at the age of 36.

Jason was born in Stockton on August 26, 1974 to Claudia and James Christensen.

He attended St. Mary's High School where he participated in baseball and football and graduated with the class of 1992. He went on to graduate from UC Davis with a Bachelor of Science Degree. Jason served proudly for 13 years as a law enforcement officer with the Stockton Police Department, achieving the rank of Sergeant, and worked as a Field Training Officer and in traffic as a Tow Hearing Officer. He was one of the original members of the mobile field force and took pride in the development and operations of the Mobile Command Post. He was known for his upbeat attitude and was always willing to do all within his power to provide excellent police work for the citizens of Stockton. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his children, and he enjoyed the outdoors, NASCAR, and sports.

He is survived by his loving mother: Claudia Christensen, and his father and stepmother James and Frances Christiansen, beloved children Madisyn and Benjamin, and the childrens' mother Tricia Christensen, brother Jim Christensen, and companion Danielle Passadore.

A viewing for family and friends will take place from 2-6 pm on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 E. Industrial Way (Near Beckman Rd.) in Lodi.

Funeral services will take place at 10:30 am on Monday, March 7, 2011 at Central United Methodist Church, 3700 Pacific Avenue in Stockton, committal services will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi.

A trust fund (In Lieu of flowers) to benefit his children has been established at Financial Center Credit Union 18 S. Center St. Stockton, CA 95202.
