Miss Nellie Frances Ayres of 1054 Terry Circle, author of several genealogy books, died at 7:30 p.m. yesterday at Methodist Hospital. She was 87.

Miss Ayres was a member of the Memphis Poetry Society, the Memphis Genealogy Society, Daughters of the American Revolution. and the United Daughters of the Confederacy.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow at Memphis Funeral Home on Union with burial in Memorial Park.

She leaves no immediate family.
