Mrs. Kathryn May Garner 77 of Canton, Missouri died Sunday, April 28, 2013 at 3:45 PM at the Lewis County Nursing Home in Canton. The daughter of Gilbert Raymond and Lillian May Chappel Janes was born on July 26, 1935 at Victor, Missouri in Monroe County. She was united in marriage to Harry D. Garner on May 23, 1954 at Canton, Missouri. He preceded her in death on August 31, 2005. Kathryn was a member of Wyaconda Baptist Church at Canton. She loved to spend time with her daughters, play cards and go to auctions. She is survived by two daughters, Pam Lippincott & her husband Alan of Canton, Mo. and Penny Handley & her husband Ossie of Canton, Mo.; a grandson, Phillip Handley & friend Stacy Derecskey of Canton, MO.; three brothers, William R. Janes & Bobbie of Canton, Mo., Gilbert R. Janes & Judy of Quincy, Illinois and Terry L. Janes & Teresa of Palmyra, Mo. and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, Larry L. Janes. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Arnold's Funeral Home in Canton, Mo. with Rev. David Howald officiating. Burial will be in Wyaconda Baptist Church Cemetery near Canton. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 30, 2013 from 4 until 8 PM at Arnold's Funeral Home in Canton. Memorials may be made to the Lewis County Nursing Home.
