Wiley Lee Creef, 80, of 1264 Mile Creek Road, died Monday, June 7, 2004, at his home.

Born in Elizabeth City, N.C., Mr. Creef was the son of the late Mary Creef Muse. He retired after thirty-one years of service from the Elizabeth City Fire Department in N.C., was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, and was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II.

Surviving are many nieces and nephews, Roy and Tracy Nix, who were also Mr. Creef's primary caregivers, Terri Trupp, Billie Gardner, Yvonne Walden, Rusty Gardner, Curtis L. Muse and Donald L. Muse; a sister, Margaret Grein, of Baltimore, Md.; a "special sister-in-law", Lena Muse; and a special friend, Faye Sanders, and her daughters, Twinkle and Debbie.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Creef was predeceased by a brother, Harold D. Muse.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2004, in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, with the Revs. Jeff Price and Bobby Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park with fireman honors.

Escort of Honor will be the Adult Men's Sunday School Class of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Visitation will be prior to the service on Wednesday, from 12 to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Flowers accepted, or memorials may be made, to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.

The family is at the home of Roy and Tracy Nix, 1268 Mile Creek Road, Pickens, SC 29671.

Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown is assisting the family with arrangements.
