Often assumed to be Richard Pulaski Cage because there was a Richard Cage listed in Major William Cage's will, but not a Pulaski. However, the "Calendar of the Miscellaneous Letters Received by the Department of State" (available on Google Books) records several petitions dated 1814-1819 for the release of Richard H. Cage, imprisoned from 1813 at San Antonio, Mexico (now Texas). One was from James Cage, asking for the release of his brother Richard, and one of these documents is a 15 Dec 1814 affidavit by Polaski Cage regarding Richard's citizenship. Therefore it seems that they were two different sons.
