Mrs. Green died Oct. 12, 1996 in the Anna Caseman Hospital in Albuquerque, NM following an extended illness. (Lung Cancer)
Thuringa was born July 29, 1922 in Forrest, NM to the home of Ernest and Mattie (Wells) Bailey. She attended school at Forrest and McAlister, graduating from McAlister High School in 1941. She married Carl "Buzz" Green on December 10, 1940. She was baptized into the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include four daughters, Caroline (Gary) Hight, Seattle, Wa, Paulette (Don) Fine, Moriarity, NM, Marcella Green, Albuquerque, NM, and Blinda Thomas, Boise, ID. Two sons, Robert (Jessie) Green, McAlister, NM, and Harvey (Sally) Albuquerque, NM. 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchilden, 4 sisters, 3 brothers, Bailey and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, one infant son, Paul Douglas, her parents and 3 brothers Truman, Paul, and Clinton Ray Bailey.
Pallbearers were Elvis Webb, Ralph Wyatt, Wendall Reagan, Harry Downey, John Jester and Jimmie Joe Jester.
The family has suggested that those who wish to do so may make donations in Mrs. Green's memory to the Helping Hand Hospice of Tucumcari, or to their favorite charity.
