Herman Leroy Mann passed away suddenly at his home on Coffee Creek April 18. He had been a resident of the Coffee Creek area of Trinity County for 30 years and had lived in California for 33 years. Born in Illinois, he was a retired telegraph operator.

He leaves surviving him his wife, Mrs. Nancy J. Mann; three sons, Herman C. Mann of San Francisco: Berwyn Mann and Ettor Mann, both of Strawberry Valley, California; a daughter, Mrs. Bonnie Bastone, of Long Beach, California; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Monday in Trinity Center Cemetery under direction of McDonald-Files Chapel. Rev. Paul Ritchens officaited.

Burial was in the family plot, with Dale Norton, Lloyd Karrer, E.B. Stewart, Elmer McDonald, Harry Seymour and Bill Bradley as casketbearers.
