Karin "Marie" Nelson Entringer, 87, Bismarck, died Jan. 28, 2009, in her home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, at First Lutheran Church, Bismarck.

Visitation will be held one hour prior the start of the service in the church on Tuesday.

Marie was born Nov. 9, 1921, in Bismarck, the daughter of Hjalmer and Gladys (Gallup) Nelson. She was raised and educated in Bismarck, and graduated from Bismarck High School.

Marie married her high school sweetheart, John Entringer, on May 1, 1940, in Bismarck. John passed away in 1998. Marie worked at Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. all her working years until her retirement.

Marie was a life-long member of the Telephone Pioneers retirement group. Marie and John loved bowling and did so for many years. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting. Marie has made hundreds of infant caps over the years and crocheted toys, animals and dolls, that were all donated to the hospitals and her church as well as her grandchildren.

Marie is survived by her daughters, Mary Beth Huber, Garrison, Joyce (George) Fulford, LaCrosse, Wis.; her son, Larry (Darlene) Entringer, Orlando, Fla.; her grandchildren, Karin Anderson, Craig, Bradley and Wendi Huber, Grant and Gregg Fulford, Dean Entringer and Aimee Foreman; her great-grandchildren, Leah and Mathew Anderson, Garrett and Paige Foreman, Clayton and Luke Murray and Alexis Entringer; and her great-great-grandchildren, Kiera and Ryan Anderson.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brothers, Robert and Howard; and her sister, Ellen Tessman.

In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Alexius Hospice or First Lutheran Church, Bismarck.
