Elnora Edith Dunn Painter was born in Champaign Illinois on September 23rd, 1918. Her parents were Edward and Edith Herendeen Dunn. The family moved to Oregon in 1922 and settled in Lorane, Oregon, where she attended school and graduated from Lorane High School. She married Lewis Franklin Painter on June 18th, 1939. They celebrated their 50th anniversary in 1989 with a big party at the church I grew up in, University Street Church of Christ. Daddy passed away in March of 1999. She was Sunday school attendance secretary for University Street church for 55 years. When that church closed it's doors she transferred her membership to the Westside Christian Church. She worked for the Agripac Cannery for 16 seasons. She was strong in her Christian faith which she passed on to her children. Mom's great loves were her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, her family, quilting and crocheting which she did until severe arthritis set in, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, which she never missed. She never had an enemy and was loved dearly by all who knew her. Her ashes were placed at the Scatter Garden at the Masonic Cemetery in Eugene Oregon where her husband Lewis also was placed and has a plaque nearby.

Many thanks to "Zorro" (Rejeana) for sponsoring my mom's memorial.
