Clifford "Buck" E. Eckenstein, age 95, of Sayre, Pennsylvania passed away on Monday, May 6, 2013 at the Sayre House. He was a son of the late Margaret and Earl Wolcott; born in Rochester, New York, August 7, 1917.

Buck worked as an electrian in Norfolk, VA in the United States Naval yards for 30 years.

Buck served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a lifetime member of the JE Wheelock Hose Company; the American Legion 0283 and involved with Coast Guard in Virginia. Buck was a big NASCAR fan of Tony Stewart.

Buck is predeceased by loving wife, Jean; both his parents; his brothers, Leman, Charles (Kite), Woodrow; sister, Virginia Sheridan and special friend, Jamie Hoy.

He is survived by his sister, Beverly (Leonard) Shay of Sayre; his caregiver, Hilda Springer of Sayre; his brother, Larry (Jeanne) Wolcott of BelAire, MD and many special nieces and nephews.

A time of gathering with family and friends will be from 4 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at the Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad St., Waverly, NY. The celebration of Buck's life will follow the visitation Pastor Jim Donahoo honoring Buck's memory at 6 p.m. Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, Pennsylvania with Military Honors.
