Anyhow... his travel, Ellis Island etc used Bakken.
His father actually migrated a few yrs before he returned to Norway to marry in 1906, then returned before 1910 census as Bakken. He returned to and from Norway in 1912. Everytime using his mother's parents or his fathers parents names as Norway contacts.
