State of Indiana; Kosciusko County} I S. H. Chipman Clerk of the Probate Court of Kosciusko County Indiana, Certify the foregoing to be the written Examination of Metcalfe Beck & S. F. Miller subscribing witnesses to the Execution of the Last Will & testament of Elisha Boggess Deceased. The said Metcalfe Beck & S. F. Miller was on this day first duly sworn by me and upon examination answered and testified as above set forth; which testimoney, having written down by me was read to and duly subscribed by said witnesses.
Witness my hand and the Seal of said Court at Warsaw in said County this 23d day of Oct AD 1851 S. H. Chipman, Clerk.

1848, 24th April; Elisha Boggess wrote his will which was recorded 23rd, October, 1851, listed Grandchildren: To the following children of my son Charles' I give and bequeath the following to wit: To Harvey, Nancy, Abraham, Malinda, Lucinda, and Enoch E. Boggess bearing 6 in all, I give and bequeath $1 payable within one year after my decease." Kosclusko County, Indiana. Will bkl 1:117-118.
1848, 24th April: Elisha Boggess, Sr, wrote his will which was recorded Oct 23, 1851, I Elisha Boggess of the County of Kosciusko and the state of Indiana do make and publish this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making viod all former wills by me heretofore at any time made. First, I direct that my body be deently interred and that my funeral be conducted in a manner corresponding with my Estate and situation in life; and as to my worldly Estate I dispose unto my two sons, Sylvador & Elisha Boggess all of the lands of which I am now seized or may be in possessions of at the time of my decease except 20 acres off the South end of the South East Fraction No.4 Four in the North East quarter of Section number Twenty Four (24) Township Thirth Three 33 horth of Range Five East, which said Twenty acres I bequeath unto my son Hiram Boggess. The preceeding bequest the Sylvador and Elisha Boggess are made subject to the following sums of money to the persons hereafter named, and at the time hereafter specified to wit... To my Son Hamilton Boggess now resident in Illinois my will is that they pay Three Hundred Dollars payable five years after my decease. To my daughter Louisa they shall pay the sum of One Hundred Dollars payable five years after my decease; and one horse worth sixty dollars payable and deliverable to her mother one year after my decease. To Harriett Guy (my daughter) they shall pay the like sum of One Hundred Dollars payable five years after my decease. To my daughter Polly they shall pay the like sum of One hundred dollars payable in ten equal yearly payments of ten dollars each or in the case said Polly becomes again single, and unmarried, that she receive her hundred dollars at the end of five years same as the others. Also to my beloved wife Nancy I give and bequeath one third of all my real estate during her life and one hundred and fifty dollars of my personal estate which said sum of one hundred and fifty dollars is to be paid by my sons Elisha & Sylvador as aforesaid. The the following children of my son Charles I give and bequeath the following to wit; To Harvey Boggess, Nancy, Abraham, Malinda, Lucinda, & Enoch E. Boggess bearing six in all I give and bequeath each one dollar payable within one year after my decease. The residue of my personal property of whatever kind it may be after the payment of my just debts and funeral expenses, I give and bequeath unto my two sons Sylvador & Elisha ....whom I hereby nominate and appoint as the Executors of this my last will and testament. 1850 Elisha is in Praire Township, Kosuisko Co. Indiana census records 79 yrs old, born in Virginia, Wife Nancy 65, born in Virginia, Silvador 24, and Elisha Jr. 23, both born in Ohio.
1860 Census; Widow Nancy Boggess, 70 yrs old, is living with son Silvador and his family in Galveston, Kosciusko County, Indiana.
