Julius Emerich Kucsik, was a former Reserve Police Officer for the Saint Louis Metropolitan Police Department.

He was the son of Julius Randolph and Mary A. (Nee Jennert) Kucsik.

Julius was born January 4, 1939, in St. Louis, Missouri. He departed this life Monday, May 6, 2013, in his home, in Linn Creek, Missouri, at the age of seventy-four years, four months, and two days.

Early in his life he was united in marriage to Beverly Alice Lake, and to this union five sons were born.

On November 24, 1990, he was united in marriage to Carol Ann Link, and they shared the last twenty-two years.
His parents preceded him in death.

Julius is survived by his loving wife, Carol, of the home; five sons, John Andrew Kucsik, and his wife, Christie, of Springfield, Missouri, Michael Joseph Kucsik, of Linn, Missouri, Daniel Richard Kucsik, of Linn Creek, Missouri, Robert William Kucsik, and his wife, Kim, of Four Seasons, Missouri, and Richard Julius Kucsik, of Jefferson City, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Reavis, Josh, Zach, Nick, Emma, Ethan, Ella, Ben, and Olivia; his mother-in-law, Thelma Link, of Farmington, Missouri; a brother-in-law, Alan L. Link, and his wife, Gilaine, of Kerrville, Texas; two nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends.

He was born and raised in North St. Louis, and graduated from McBride High School. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from St. Louis University. He began a career in banking at North St. Louis Trust Company and then was the President of Meta State Bank in Meta, Missouri, for several years. He started a career in sales at Four Seasons and continued with many other sales endeavors throughout the years. He founded, owned and operated Happy Trails RV Center in 1998, and was still involved in the business. He and Carol made their home in Linn Creek and enjoyed trips to Florida.

Julius was a member of the Camdenton United Methodist Church and was associated with First United Methodist Church in Bonita Springs, Florida during the winter months.

He belonged to the Elks Lodge in Osage Beach, and the Eagles Lodge and the American Legion in Jefferson City. He was also a member of the Lebanon Area Chamber of Commerce.

He had served as a St. Louis Reserve Police Officer for a number of years.

He was a people person and loved his work. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. He liked being on the lake and enjoyed fishing and boating. He loved his family dearly and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was also very fond of his two dogs, Campi, and P.J.

Julius was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son-in-law, and brother-in-law, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his many accomplishments and will remember him as a devoted family man, a dedicated businessman, and a good friend.
