Marilyn A. GALLACCIO (nee Sheppard) 69- of North Cape May, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital on May 8, 2013.

Marilyn was a graduate of Wildwood Catholic High School, Class of 1961, and graduated from St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing. Marilyn was an emergency room nurse at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, and later became the Office Manager and nurse for Dr. Albert A. Almeda.

After retirement from nursing, Marilyn enjoyed pursuing her passion for history by working at the Historic Cold Spring Village. Marilyn was active with Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish in Cape May, enjoyed gardening, and was a member of several knitting groups in the area. Marilyn was an avid fan of both the NY Yankees and Duke Blue Devils, and enjoyed sharing stories of her five granddogs.

Marilyn will be missed by her children, Nicholas W. Gallaccio, Jr., Anne Laskey (Todd), and Peter Gallaccio; brother, Theodore Sheppard, Jr. and wife, Lynne; grandchildren Micayla, Ryan, and Alexander, and loving nieces and nephews.

Friends may come to call on Monday (May 13th) from 12:00-1:00 PM at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 525 Washington Street, Cape May, NJ 08204, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Cold Spring.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Historic Cold Spring Village, 720 Route 9, Cape May NJ, 08204.
