Michael Anthony Lettmann was born in Southern California May 11, 1956 to E. Lettmann and Pearl Unbehaun. As a young boy he was active in Little League Baseball and showed a strong gift for writing. He longed to play Pee Wee football but was always just a little too big to play in his age-group.
Michael moved to Dayton, Ohio with his mother, step-father and 4 of his siblings in 1970. He was the only member of this family to remain in Ohio throughout his lifetime.
Michael had a good heart, sense of humor and a protective instinct toward his siblings. He married 3 times and fathered 2 daughters; Leslie Ann Lettmann of Centerville, OH and Katelynn Rose Lettmann of Miamisburg, OH. He also became the father figure for his fiancé Mechelle's young son, Anthony.
Michael enjoyed cooking and enjoyed exchanging recipes with his niece. As his illness progressed he spoke often with his sisters and dreamed of being able to take a long train trip with them.
He was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother, Timothy Allen Lettmann.
In addition to his daughters and fiancé Michael is survived by and will be held in loving memory by his sisters; Ronnee Charles, Susan Myrick both of Spokane WA. Mindy Feldman of Santa Rosa, CA, Corena Miller of FL, and Julie of Sandusky OH. and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
As per his wishes Michael will be cremated and his ashes scattered in the Pacific Ocean in Southern CA. by his sister.
