Marcus Lafayette Pittman Jr. age 47 of Jonesboro, GA, passed away on May 5, 2013. He was predeceased by his mother Marilyn Bawanna Walker McWilliams, Father Marcus L. Pittman Sr. and sibling Heidi Martitia Bragg Burnes.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Pittman. Close relatives are: Caroline Pittman of Aspen CO.; Joe (Audrey) Lassiter of Columbia SC.; Candice Haynie of Power Springs GA.; Michelle Easterwood of Brookwood AL; Yvonne Tallant of Woodland AL; Jamie Carver of Cartersville GA.
He was class of 1983 with Jonesboro High School and graduated from the Clayton County Police Academy ; He began his 25yrs. Of service with Clayton County starting with City of Forest Park, then Clayton County, to Detective, to his final position as Deputy Chief Investigator with the Clayton County Solicitor General's Office. His Passions/Hobbies included teaching at the Police Academy, his hand writing analysis, traveling to Siesta Key FL., His love for his 4-legged children: Mich, Stoli, and Chopper, all genres of music , and enjoying his piece of heaven by his pool that became know as "The Resort", He was blessed to have been loved and respected by so many dear friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday May 13, 2013 at 2 PM at Harvest Baptist Tabernacle. Dr. David Maddox will officiate. Interment will be at Sherwood Memorial Park. Family will receive friends Sunday May 12, 2013 from 3-7 PM at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Christian City, 7300 Lester Rd.
