Services for John L. (Babe) Loomis, 87, Chadwick, were held Tuesday in Union Church, Chadwick, with the Rev. James H. Applegate officiating. Burial was in Chadwick Memorial Cemetery under direction of Harris of Ozark. Mr. Loomis died Saturday in Christian County Nursing Home, Ozark, after a short illness. A resident of the Chadwick community most of his life, Mr. Loomis was a member of the Christian Church. Survivors include four sons, Richard, Wenatchee, Wash.; Arnold Gene, Osceola, Don, St. Joseph, Jackie, Chadwick; four daughters, Mrs. Jewell Wright, Usk, Wash., Mrs. Agnes Sinclair and Mrs. Marie Davis, all of Chadwick, two brothers, Earl, Chadwick and Fred Modesto, Calif,; a sister, Mrs. O. L. Hassler, Springfield; 23 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren.
