Mildred "Millie" Albrecht died on Thursday May 9, 2013 at JFK Medical Center, Edison, NJ. She was 101 years old. She was born in New York City and resided in Pennsylvania before moving to the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township over 70 years ago. Millie worked for the Woodbridge Township Assessors Office for over 24 years. She was a communicant of Saint Andrew's Catholic Church in Avenel where she was past president of the Rosary Society. She was very active in the local Democratic Party for many years; a member of Golden Circle, Avenel Seniors Club for over 30 years; Cranberry Lake Community Club's Women's Association; and past President of the Avenel Women's Club. Millie had a wide circle of friends. She especially enjoyed her family at Maple Tree Manor in Avenel and was an inspiration to many. Her wit, compassion and wisdom were some of her strong traits. She was a very loving and generous lady and will be dearly missed by both family and friends. Her deep Christian faith and family focus were key strengths throughout her entire life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sam "Bud" Albrecht; and oldest son, William. Surviving are her sons, Charles "Bud" Albrecht of North Carolina and George Albrecht and his wife, Marel, of Andover; a daughter in law, Dolores Albrecht; four grandchildren Bart Albrecht, Lisa Buckley, Tara Everett and Natasha Perski; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at the Costello-Koyen Funeral Home (www.Costello-koyen.com), 399 Avenel Street, Avenel, NJ. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at Saint Andrew's Catholic Church, Avenel, NJ. Interment will be in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia, NJ.

The Albrecht family would like to thank the staff at JFK Medical Center's Haven Hospice for their excellent care and compassion to Millie.
