George Albert Dixon, well known West End restuarant owner, died at the Washington County Hospital after an illness of four years, aged 55.

Born and reared at Emmittsburg, Pa., the son of Maxwell and Louise (Martz) Dixon. He operated the Alva Restuarant for many years.

He was a member of Grace E. U. B. Church, the Loyal Order of Moose, Potomac Fish and Game Club, the Western Enterprise Fire Company and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Surviving are his wife, Mary E.; son, Paul L.; four grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Stone.
