She was a charming conversationalist and a nice lady with a big smile and greeting manner. She resided in Hollywood, California from the early 1980s until her death from cancer October 23, 2002 at the age of 60. She leaves behind many friends, family members and her dearest friend and neighbor author Sheldon L. McCormick. His second novella, Champion Plate, (2007, Authorhouse) is dedicated to Huff. A memorial service was later held for Peggy by her friends at the American Legion hall in Hollywood, California in October, 2002.
