John S. Grant died in Reading on Tuesday after an operation for rupture, performed at St. Joseph's hospital, that place. He was about 55 years of age and formerly resided in this city.
He is survived by his wife, who lives on Moyallen street, and by several children: Fred S., Frank, Bruce, Harry, Birdie and Edna, all of whom are unmarried except Fred and Frank.
Mr. Grant belonged to the Masonic Order and to the Woodmen of America. There are several brothers and sisters living in Reading.
The funeral will be on Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the residence, 157 Moyallen street, ths city.
Interment in Hollenback Cemetery.
