John M Boughton Dies at His Home in Village of Perry
Perry, June 30
John M. Boughton, 78 years old, died at his home in Perry this morning. He had been ill over a year. He was born on July 4, 1834. Mr. Boughton had always lived in Perry. He had held many public offices in the town. Besides he wife he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Frances Rudgers of Perry and Mrs. Else Watson of Vinewood, N.J. The funeral will be held from the home on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. and H. A. Walte of the Baptist church officiating Burial will be in Hope cemetery.

The death of John M. Boughton took place Monday morning at his home in Leicester street aged 78 years. Mr. Boughton was a life long resident of Perry. He was the son of James and Abber Hoyt Boughton and was born here on July 8, 1834. He was for many years a prominent farmer of this section. In public life he served as trustee of the Perry High School ten years and was also deputy sheriff of the town of Perry many years.
Besides his wife he leaves two daughters, Mrs. Frances Rudgers of Perry and Mrs. Elsie Watson of Vineland, N.J.
