Magda A. Abdalla, 48, Alexandria, Va., died at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2005, at the home of her parents, Albert G. and Helene Khoury Abdalla, Shippensburg, Pennsylvania.
She was born January 8, 1957, in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Prior to her illness, she was employed as a kindergarten teacher in Alexandria, Va. Earlier, she had worked at the Hellenic Academy in Alexandria. She had been a group home counselor in Shippensburg for a number of years before moving to Alexandria.
She was a member of St. Mary Orthodox Church, Chambersburg.
She was a 1974 graduate of Shippensburg Area Senior High School and received her bachelor of science degree in library science from Shippensburg University in 1978.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by one brother, Nabil A. Abdalla, Virginia Beach, Va.; and several relatives in Egypt, Lebanon and Australia.
