FRED MILLER DIES FRIDAY
Fred Miller, 72, 939 1-3 Hampshire, widely known violin manufacturer and repairer, died in Blessing hospital Friday morning at 9:20 following an extended illness. Mr. miller was a building contractor for many years, but was best known as a violin expert.
Mr. Miller was born in Fall Creek township, July 23, 1873, a son of Andrew and Lena Schreiber Miller, and had lived in Quincy for many years. He was a member of the Baptist church at Bluff Hall and was married to Mollie Smith in the Bluff Hall parsonage Feb. 22, 1898.
Surviving are the widow; a son, Fritz of Chicagio, well known orchestra leader; a brother, Henry Miller of Bluff Hall; a sister, Mrs. Mary Lepper of Quincy, adn two grandchildren, Cpl. Bert Adair in England and Marilyn Miller of chicago. A daughter, Agnes Adair died in 1929. Four brothers and two sisters also preceded Mr. Miller in death.
