MARY ELIZABETH DZIERSKI


Was born on July 24, 1922 and departed this life on April 8, 2013. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Tony Dzierski; two sons, William White and Paul Dzierski; a daughter-in-law, JoAnne Dzierski; and three grandchildren, Lauren and Matthew Dzierski, and Allison White.

Mary was a devoted military wife and mother. She was an active honorary life member and Past President of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 176. She was also a long-time member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 7327.

Viewings will be held at the Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Road, Springfield, VA on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 from 7 to 9 p.m. A Knights of Columbus Rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m., with a VFW Ceremony and an American Legion Auxiliary Poppy Ceremony immediately following and Wednesday, May 15, 2013 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.

A Mass will be held at the Memorial Chapel, 101 McNair Rd., Arlington, VA (on Ft. Myer Base) on Thursday, May 16 at 12:45 p.m. The burial will follow at the Arlington National Cemetery. Please arrive early to get through security at the Hatfield Gate.

Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
