MRS. BESSIE V. RITTER, 64, 1613 Virginia Ave., died in Washington, D.C. early Monday morning. She was born in Hagerstown, the daughter of the late Fleet and Mollie (Renner) Harbaugh.
She was a member of Washington Square Methodist Church; Funkstown Homemaker's Club; Telephone Pioneers of America; Queen Esther Chapter O.E.S.; Auxiliary Western Maryland State Hospital and a retired employe of the C&P Telephone Company of Hagerstown.
She is survived by husband, Lloyd H. Ritter, sons, Lloyd H. Ritter, Jr., Hagerstown; Robert H. Ritter, New Cumberland, Pa.; daughters, Mrs. Betty Tilley, Washington, D.C.; Mrs. Jeanne Kramer, Hagerstown; brothers, Donald F. Harbaugh, Hagerstown; Ray Harbaugh, Youngstown, Ohio; sister, Mrs. Kathryn Fox, Bethlehem, Pa.; nine grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held from the Minnich Funeral Home, Hagerstown, on Wednesday at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Melvin Hughson officiating, with burial in Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 7 to 9.
